"God save the Queen…"
"Why are they singing that?" she asked Katrina. "It's not July 4th for three more days and I thought I read somewhere that America won that battle."
"Indeed you did." Only it wasn't Katrina who spoke. The speaker had a deep male voice with a crisp British accent. "This is a surrender party, Lindsay. It's our own way of marking the occasion."
Sensual shivers ran down her spine when she turned to face Nathaniel Foster, the younger of the two brothers who had apparently found Madden only a few months before she'd been brought there. She'd heard from Joey that they'd had Russian ancestors somewhere down the line. Somehow they'd ended up in England. It was promising to think that there might be more of their kind wandering the Earth, just like the Foster brothers, looking for companionship.
"It's a great party," was all she could think of to say. She loved his deep green eyes, the way a lock of his dark hair dipped onto his forehead. Both brothers were incredibly handsome, tall, dark-haired, and gorgeous. She'd been attracted to Nathaniel first but now it would be impossible to decide between him and his brother, Edward.
"It's not over yet," Nathaniel told her. "Want to go with me to get a drink?"
Did he expect her to say no?
Taking her hand, he helped her up from the grassy bank and didn't let her go. He led her up onto the patio of their lakefront home and through the double doors. She was a little surprised when he led her past the wet bar they had set up in the living room.
"Where are we going?"
Nathaniel's only answer was a sly grin he threw back over his shoulder at her, and it had sparks of excitement running through her.
Lindsay wasn't surprised when they entered a large bedroom. It was tidy and done up in rich, brown colors. Nathaniel released her hand only to adjust the temperature controls on the other side of the bed.
"A little warm tonight and that won't do for what we have in mind, will it?" he asked.
"We?" Lindsay teased him. "I didn't agree to anything."
Wet as her panties were getting, she wouldn't protest either.
"We meaning Nathaniel and myself." Edward's voice, heavy with the same elegant accent his brother had, was a low sound behind her.
