Halloween Kills
Director: David Gordon Green
Starring: Jamie Lee Curtis, Judy Greer, Andi Matichak, Will Patton, Anthony Michael Hall, and more.

The saga of Michael Myers and Laurie Strode continues in the next thrilling chapter of the Halloween series.

The second in the Blumhouse/Roughhouse Pictures reboot of the iconic Halloween franchise, Halloween Kills picks up exactly where 2018's Halloween left off. Laurie Strode, her daughter Karen, and granddaughter Allyson arrive at the hospital and leave Michael Myers trapped in Laurie's burning house.

Yeah.

Michael does what Michael does and this films shows us what was going on elswhere that night. We catch up with Allyson's cheating boyfriend Cameron, his father and friends at a Halloween party at the local bar, and more. Basically, this second film broadens our cast of characters and gives us throwbacks from the original two Halloween films. Some characters in name only. Some are the same actors. The result is a tense thriller that pulls no punches until the crushing ending...

While this horror fan appreciates the attention to detail, the canon, and the nods to the original films, this film is not for the faint of heart. It has the highest body count of any Halloween film to date. There are touches of humor to lighten the mood and great tragedy too. The violence and brutality are a lot here so use caution in allowing teens to see this one.

The film is an hour and 45 minutes. It's rated R for good reasons. If you're a fan of classic horror films, David Gordon Green, or you just want a good scary movie, have at it. You won't be disappointed.
